Teel’s medium-density polyethylene gas pipe is made from 2708 MDPE material that meets or exceeds regulatory and performance standards for gas applications.
Our pipe is made to ASTM D2513 standards and is compliant with PHMSA DOT CFR 49 part 192 requirements for regulated gas distribution operations. It is compatible with all standard joining techniques, including ASTM F2620. MDPE gas pipe resists slow crack growth, rapid crack propagation, UV degradation, and most gas solvents and chemicals. It won’t rust or corrode in standard soil conditions. Its light weight, flexibility, and long laying lengths help make installation easier and less expensive.
