Teel is transitioning small OD gas pipe coils from intermediate-banded-style coils to stretch-wrapped coils (a system we’ve named “SmartCoil”). We are making this transition to improve field handling of the product. Stretch-wrapped coils are easier to maneuver when only a partial coil is needed. SmartCoil also reduces risk of damage to the pipe or injury to your workforce, as there are no bands to be cut. The stretch wrap also improves structural integrity while the pipe is being unwound and eliminates the chance of kinking when banding is missed.
Starting in July 2025, Teel’s 1/2″ and 3/4″ IPS and 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″ CTS gas pipe will begin arriving with SmartCoil packaging.
