Teel Plastics is currently seeking a Marketing Communication Specialist who will be responsible for supporting the marketing efforts of Teel by creating marketing materials as part of the overall marketing strategy.  This includes writing press releases and articles, creating email blasts, working on magazine or web advertisements, managing LinkedIn and other social media, and coordinating tradeshows.  They will also perform website updates.  They may attend tradeshows to support sales.  In addition, they will also perform market research on target markets and customers from time to time.

Job Responsibilities will focus on:

Develop marketing materials:

• Brochures
• Mailers
• Email blasts
• Ads
• Articles

Generate content through: 

• Writing
• Editing
• Photographing materials

Maintain Teel’s web presence:

• Updating website
• Post on Teel’s social media channels

Support direct sales efforts through:

• Contacts with customers
• Tradeshow management
• Tradeshow attendance

Research specific assigned targets

Responsible for documenting and evaluating the success of tradeshow, trade publication, direct mail, and web site advertising and publicizing upcoming campaigns.

Position requires strong communication skills, ability to influence through persuasion, and occasional travel to trade shows

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required.  Significant relevant work experience will be considered. 
• Experience with Microsoft Productivity Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.  Experience in tradeshow management, market planning, market tactics, and advertising is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in marketing or sales experience and marketing exposure in the plastics industry.

This position requires attention to detail in writing advertising copy for marketing programs, researching markets and prospects, budgeting, lead tracking, and evaluation of advertising campaigns.  This position requires creative thinking to create and design marketing pieces.  Must have the ability to handle many priorities at the same time.  This position requires meeting strict deadlines in developing materials and report generation.  Must be able to effectively solve problems on a daily basis, sometime dealing with conflicting goals. Must have the ability to seek out additional information to effectively resolve problems.  Must have strong organizational, communications and analytical skills with the ability to work well under pressure.  Must be able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines. Must have excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail.   Must be able to make sound decisions.  Must be able to maintain positive relationships and operate with a high level of integrity.  Must have ability to hold confidential information and know when to involve others to seek resolution.
