Tool Handles
Teel supplies a wide
range of tube sizes for use in tool handles. We have
experience making both single length and telescoping
handles for lawn and garden tools, snow shovels, brooms,
mops, paint rollers, and more. Our handles are available
in a wide variety of colors and wall thicknesses, and
we are happy to customize tubing according to your needs.
Finishing operations typically involve drilling, slotting,
and gluing of tips and caps.
Tool Handle Capabilities
Surface: Standard colors available, or we can match
Pantone colors. Teel is known for producing a smooth,
high quality finish.
Length: Standard length tolerance is ± .125” for
tubes and profiles. A tighter tolerance is possible, depending on
customer needs. For fenestration profiles, Teel can hold up to
± .032”.
Bow or Camber: .030” per foot from straight
is standard, although a tighter tolerance is possible depending
on part design.
Glass Content: Percentage of fiberglass by weight will
vary between 55 and 65%, depending on profile design.
Squareness of Cut: Generally ± 1/2° in vertical
and horizontal directions.
Angularity of horizontal or vertical legs: ± 1 degree.
Engineering Support: Teel engineers work with customers
to design parts that are pultrusion-friendly and meet each customer’s
specific requirements.
