08/30/06 TEEL PLASTICS BREAKS GROUND ON NEW HEADQUARTERS IN BARABOO

Baraboo, WI… With shovels in hand, Teel Plastics gladly held its highly anticipated groundbreaking ceremony at the site for its new headquarters and expanding extrusion division in Baraboo. Governor Jim Doyle of Wisconsin and Baraboo Mayor Pat Liston were in attendance.

Construction on the environmentally conscious building will begin in September of 2006 and be completed in spring of 2007. The new building will incorporate Teel Plastics’ commitment to lean manufacturing and provide space for company-wide growth. Teel Plastics currently operates four locations in Baraboo, WI.

The 80 acres of land is located on Highway W at what is planned to be the gateway to Baraboo after completion of the new Highway 12 bypass. The site will accommodate Teel Plastics’ new building and the Gateway Business Park. The park’s business lots that are currently for sale will help economic development in the Baraboo area.

Founded in 1951, Teel Plastics, and its subsidiary Teel GRT, currently operates four divisions including custom pultrusion/finishing, custom extrusion/finishing, custom bag making and the manufacture of products utilizing agrifiber and plastic composites. Teel Plastics is certified to ISO 9001 and maintains a workforce of over 275 fulltime employees in the Baraboo area.
